Subsea Completions Engineer

Leap29 currently have a position for a Junior Subsea Completion
Engineer to work for a to provide well completion expertise from
concept through detailed design, installation and start-up. Following
start-up, the engineer will provide expertise in Workover and Well
Intervention and Abandonment if necessary.

THE ROLE

This role is for a major oil and gas company and will be based in
Brazil working on high visibility deepwater wells. Many of these wells
will have long horizontal sections and will require sand control. The
projects will involve completion operations from a dynamically
positioned drillship or moored semi-submersible using subsea or
surface BOP system. Most of the projects will also require artificial
lift and reservoir monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure subsea completion and well intervention work programmes are
fully fit for purpose, fully understood, and executed efficiently in a
safe, cost effective and timely fashion; on time and on budget.
- Site Supervision of onshore/offsite trials and equipment stack tests
- Liaise and communicate with discipline supervisors to facilitate
efficient preparation and execution of well work programmes.
- Oversee and Deliver Onshore test of Workover systems and Xmas Tree,
PAB installation
- The Subsea Completion Engineer will be responsible for the entire
scope of completing the wells on a given subsea development including
but not limited to: well analysis, detailed well completion design,
participation/leading of operability reviews, identification and
procurement of equipment and services, preparation of completion
procedures and offshore engineering support of completions operations.

REQUIREMENTS

- An engineering or physical science degree
- A minimum of 2-3 years Operational and/or Engineering experience in
Subsea Completion Operations
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
