Assistant Rig Manager

Multinational oil hires Assistant Rig Manager to work offshore.
Activities: * Ensure that all operations proceed in a safe manner, and correct or notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist. * Supervise and monitor rig positioning and anchor mooring or preloading and leg penetration during rig movement and placement. * Plan and supervise rig activities such as repairs, daily maintenance of drilling fluids, rigging up or down, etc. with a minimal loss of time or effort. * Coordinate with designated supervisors all evolutions effecting the vessel ballast and loading. * Order needed rig supplies, parts and materials, ensuring needed items are on hand. * Make decisions regarding utilization of equipment, making sure the rig and support equipment is used properly and not endangered or damaged. * Conduct daily brief with the Rig Manager to update on current drilling operations. * Support and carry out orders from the Rig Manager during adverse weather conditions or situations where vessel and personnel safety are involved.
