Safety Technician Offshore‏

Oportunidade para trabalhar em Multinacional no segmento de Petróleo e Gás, ramo de perfuração, com unidades de 5ª e 6ª gerações.
Regime Offshore.

Position general responsibility:

General responsibility -Supervise all personnel on board, Follow-up of HSE issues and actively on scene as observer involvement in SO and 3rd part activities.

Employee special responsibility and duties:

1) The Safety Officer will carry out work as directed by Capt./OIM in co-operation with operators senior representative onboard;

2) Participate in additional safety introduction, training and mentor/ familization of 3rd party personnel;

3) Participate in coaching of visitors/VIP and 3rd party personnel;

4) Participate/carry out in inspections as directed by Capt./OIM.
Safety Officer should be assisting line management in safety audits of the workforce operation;
1. Encourage positive interaction between line management and workers
2. Are the correct tools in place
3. Address unsafe workplace behavior & practices
4. Reaffirm & improve safety standards
5. Improve communication & understanding
6. Provide indications of workplace culture
7. Demonstrate leadership in safety (with line supervision)

5) Participate in planning and execution of the safety meeting

6) Participate in incident & near miss investigations (coordinate & write Synergi reports).
The Safety Officer should use his operational/people knowledge to determine what the root causes is, and to recommend to the OIM & operators senior representative measures to be taken to minimize further exposure/risk

7) Participate in the daily RUC and work permit meeting
The Safety Officer will assure that suitable and sufficient assessments of risk are carried out for all operation. All personnel will be involved and are aware of these processes, the OSS will be promoting and assuring (to OIM and operator sr. representative) that these processes are carried out and understood

8) Daily observation round, with focus on - cranes - loose lifting equipment - escape ways - PPE (with special focus on dropped objects)

9) Daily control of work permits, isolation certificates and TBRA as per procedures


Minimum Hiring Standards:

· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must be able to supply two professional references
· Employment history and education must be verifiable
· Maritime, military, technical or drilling industry experience in operations and/or safety
· Must speak and write English
· Experience as Officer/Engineer from merchant marine, with additional offshore experience
· Experience as a crew member on a MODU
· Experience as a professional safety officer in an industrial setting

Excellent post,
I like this, There are many types of small and big cranes available in market. It is lifting heavy and large equipments up and down horizontally. They are used in many industries like, transportation, construction, production, manufacturing, etc.
