INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

General Job Summary: Perform maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficientoperation of all instrumentation and control systems.
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment of Tele /data and all electrical equipment on board to maintain efficiency ofoperations and ensure stable and secure operation of systems of Tele /data.
Perform relevant tasks to maintenance of all equipment and automationsystems / Electrical / Electronics. Making regular rounds checking theareas of machinery and attachment of equipment on deck and report anyperceived defect. Assist in the rectification of all defects known.Assist in other tasks as requested by the E & I Lead.
Maintain control of stock of parts and electrical equipment, ensuringthe proper organization and immediate.
Ensure the rational andeconomical use of equipment and spares.
Report on a continuous schedule of work, updating of work, consumptionof spares and consumables and needs for the purchase of ElectricalSupervisor.
Ensure effective communication within the Department of Maintenanceand coordinate and cooperate with the Superintendent of terminal andother departments, ensuring that they are aware of the activities ofmaintenance.
Ensure that the system of permission to work (PTW) is met and that allisolates in plant and machinery are in line with the philosophy ofIsolation of company Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the MaintenanceSuperintendent. Ensure that all maintenance personnel: Are familiar with company HS&Epolicies;
Understand their emergency response duties and that ModecHealth, Safety, Environment and Quality Policy is clearly understoodas well as the HSEQ MS Roles and Responsibilities.
